Disaster Response

As COVID-19 continues to threaten lives and livelihoods, World Vision India is responding to the needs of the vulnerable people and frontline workers.

Our teams are closely working with the district administration to provide people with basic essentials during this lockdown. Our teams have been responding to the needs of children and families and supporting health care workers and facilities, across the country, for over a month.

Throughout our response across the country, we continue to focus on promoting preventive measures to limit the spread of COVID-19, supporting health systems and workers and supporting children and families made vulnerable by the pandemic.

So far, we have provided 10000+ cooked food packages. We supported 1000+ households with dry ration. 5000+ people were reached through awareness campaigns on prevention of COVID-19. We trained and supported 150+ community health workers to provide community-based services. 600+ hand-washing supplies were distributed. We provided personal protection equipment (PPE) to 500+ medical personnel. We distributed 1200+ glove sets and 1400+ masks. 1500+ children were supported with Child Protection programming. Cash disbursements/voucher were given to 1400+ households.

The need is immense and so is the urgency to respond. Rush your support now.
